Hey all!

WarHammerman here with an idea that's been floating around in my head.


So, here is is!
2500 points
single FOC


Commander Dante [Warlord?]
x5 Sanguinary Guard (Angelus Boltguns + Glaives & Death Masks) + Chapter Banner
+ x1 Sanguinary Priest w/ Plasma Pistol, Power Maul, and Jump Pack

Assault Squad (of 10) x2 Plasma Pistols, Sarge w/ Plasma Pistol & Power Sword (+ Combat Shield)
+ x1 Sanguinary Priest w/ Plasma Pistol, Power Maul, and Jump Pack


Tactical Squad (of 10) x1 Plasma Gun, x1 Plasma Cannon,
Sarge w/ Sarge w/ Plasma Pistol & Power Sword
+ Brother Corbulo
+ Land Raider Redeemer w/ Flamestorm Cannons, TL-Assault Cannons, Extra Armor, and Multi-Melta

The idea is that I'll select which half to keep in reserve each round - since everything can (either through virtue of Jump Packs, or a Deep Striking Land Raider.)

I plan on deploying Dante and his Guard, Sanguinore and his Assault Squad - leaving the Stormraven, Deathcompany, and the Tac-Squad in reserve, most of the time.


FNP all around - from the priests - or Death Company-ness.

Are these two lists separate or together? Also, is the Sanguinor with a squad of ASM?

My only concern with these lists are at 2500 I would expect to see more than 4 scoring units. Though this is really situational dependent on your own local meta.
I also find 5 man squads to be quite ineffective.

It iseems brilliantly anti-armour but I am not sure how well it would perform against a large horde, but again if your local area is all tanks then it would be good, if they are a gribbly or boyz heavy then not so much.

I would drop a landraider, buy an aegis line to defend your home objective. I'd make the assault squads 10 man, drop the jump packs, add locator beacons to the stormravens, so when you jump out you won't scatter. Also I cannot stress enough how much fun blood talons are, if you kill something you get more attacks, brilliant at thinning anything except teq as they are ap3 I think. Your reclusiarch needs to be in assault, so drop the combi melta he loses an attack in combat and stick him in an assault squad instead. the baal predator is 1 weapon destroyed result away from being a moving box, add sponsons or drop it an add in something useful like a librarian.

Tactical Squad (10-man) (carried on Stormraven)

So, here is the idea:

So I have 5 scoring squads (3 assault, 1 tac, 1 Sanguinary)
Everything is either fast or deep-striking. That wich deep strikes can either use the landing pad, or the locator beacons on the Stormravens.

The only things you may struggle with is psychic powers, as you have no defence. Also you're missing the facet that makes BA so cool, priests you need some with your assault elements and add in a banner on your sang guard for the bonus attack. I'd drop the baals in favour of those and if possible a librarian.
