Hey BoLS, I'm looking for a storage solution for my collection of X-Wing miniatures. I'm hoping to find a solution with the following features:
Can be worn as a backpack.
Can accommodate a growing collection of models of indeterminate composition.
Can hold and protect maneuver templates, cards, etc.
Can accommodate 12"x12" tiles to form a playing space or a 36"x36" battle mat.
#1 seems easy enough - I can buy a dedicated gaming backpack (though that may not be the most cost effective solution), add straps to an existing case, or simply buy a regular backpack that will hold a miniatures case. #2 also seems relatively easy - just don't purchase foam trays with custom cutouts. #3 seems similarly simple.
It's #4 that is tripping me up, as most miniatures cases can't accommodate a 12"x12" square. Does anybody know of any that do? Or am I probably best off trying to find a backpack that can carry them?
