Saw this on the Beeb and thought people would enjoy it.

So the question is, if you could move anywhere, where would it be and why?

Less government means more freedom. Even with backwards people in the country side it's easy for people to voluntarily associate and coalesce into communities.

Rick Perry is an *** though. A terrible economist, and a morality legislator. Ron Paul should run for Governor next ;)

I really like York. And it'd probably be more practical than the other choice of Whitby.

Perfectly happy in Tunbridge Wells thank you very much.

Nice enough people, once they figure out you're not to be trifled with in their small town politics. Excellent pubs, good amenities, not too far from work, but far enough. Lovely.

I live in Torbay, Devon. I don't want to live anywhere else. Devon dumpling I maybe but I love it here. If I had to move then it would be to Vancouver Island.

Don't blame you there. Used to holiday in Torquay. Beautiful part of the country.

Is it wrong to say I wouldn't want to move?

I have a good gaming club here, a seperate good roleplaying game group, lots of friends and i really like the place...

BISCUIT Update!

I was shocked to find that there were no Jaffa Cakes today. I did mention to the catering manager about Chocolate Hob Nobs but dont know what will happen.

Had to settle for a yogurt!

HA! NOOB!

Jaffa Cakes are Cakes. Not biscuits.

No wonder you're having difficulties.

My wife's Texan. When I'm done with my PhD I am almost certainly actually moving to Texas. ;)

I've been California Dreaming for awhile--somewhere near Monterey, maybe. If property values weren't insane. As well as California laws. That too. Portland, maybe for the city, and the forests, etc. Though never very warm there.

As long as I could have a place in Ireland. Even going on six years after getting married there, the place has a magic to it.

California laws are not a reason to move here. In fact, they're a very good reason not to move here. You get taxed, regulated, fined, nickled and dimed for anything and everything. Property values are just the start.

I'm happy where I'm at, I live in a town named Silverdale in WA. It's nice it got 4 game shops to choose from.

That's why mentioned the Cali laws were as insane as the property values...

Oh, I misread, though you said they were one of the reasons you wanted to move there, and I was like "Whaaaaaaaat????"
