few hours into Saint's Row IV, kinda mixed feelings. It is great fun, some good characters, the opening is a CoD spoof, but the stuff they have added somewhat spoils other elements of the game. one early mission is to steal a car, take it to a garage, and get it modified. yet minutes later you earn the super sprint power which allows you to move faster than any car. there are towers to climb up, but you can just steal a vtol and fly to the top instead. more depth on the gun customisation, yet guns are largerly redundant because you can freeze people or throw fireballs.

The superhero and the Gang stuff are completely at odds with each other, you can sprint faster than every car, and yet theres more car customisation than any of the other games. The races are all on foot, so cars aren't eevn needed there

Waiting on my copy of Saints Row Iv 'cos amazon have screwed something up and it isn't due to arrive for two weeks despite already being sent. Also looking forward to Rome II, trying to resist the urge to start another playthrough of Dragon Age and trying to remind myself to play Europe Universalis IV and many other games I bought on the recent Steam sale.

I can play offline on steam, it's just the original activation that requires an internet connection. I'm not entirely sure why the companies would want the expense of running servers for single player games?

Right, that's what I meant when I said stuff like this happens. My internet is always on, I have no problem with games requiring that. It is a bit annoying when I feel like playing Diablo 3 and the servers go down for maintenance for eight hours or something.

I don't see the problem. The auto complete functions saves precious nano seconds and I like being able to have the same tabs and bookmarks on my phone, iPad and PC. It's not like Google is scooping up my credit card details. If they want to track my extensive use of tabletop war gaming sites and my porn habits, they are welcome to.

I consider Aladdin to be the best Disney film, followed by the Lion King. But I put Tangled in the top five.

Most their animated films are great really. Sleeping Beauty is stunningly beautiful, Cinderella is charming, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Hercules etc are all fun. Aladdin is certainly one of the best, as is Tangled and Lion King.

Mulan is pretty great really. I mean you have a gender bending female protagonist who is completely bad arse and actually forms the romantic attachment to her potential future husband while dressed as man. The little dragon voiced by Murphy is also reasonably amusing.:)

@wolfshade some of the best fun you can have is stack as many solid boosters as you can together, bundle them up with struts, put a capsule on top, take off and have the kerbal get out of the capsule when it is lifting off :D

Yes and no. Founded independently (partly by Steve Jobs) they signed a deal with Disney for three films, the first of which was Toy Story. Disney invested in it and handled marketing and distribution whilst Pixar did the actual production. Disney owned the film. By all accounts things got rather messy over Toy Story2 but in the end money won over any sense of principle and Disney bought them outright. Jobs made a bucketload of cash and became Disneys largest single shareholder.
