Hello BoLS!

So I am looking for a critique on this list to see whether or not it is a feasible build enough to spend money making. Please be harsh, I'm new here..... :-)

Space Marine: White Scars Primary

HQ: Kor'Sarro Khan w/ Moondrakken: 205

Command Squad on Bikes: 330
Apothocary
Company Champion
3x Vet with LC/Meltagun
1x Vet with PF/Meltagun

Troops: 350

2x 10 man Tac Squad w/ Plasma Cannon/Flamer

Heavy: 200

2x Thunderfire Cannons

Ageis Defense line with Lasgun: 85

Blood Angels Allies

HQ: Commander Dante: 225

Elites: 170

Sang priest with Jump Pack/Power Axe/Melta Bombs
Sang priest with Power Axe/ Combi-Melta

Troops: 432

10 Man Assault Squad with Sarge Power Axe and 2 melta guns

8 man assault with Drop Pod with sarge Power Axe and combi-melta and i melta gun

Total: 1997

So the whole concept is built around the TFC's eliminating as many scoring units as possible.

The TFC and Tac Squads will be deployed in cover or behind the ageis line The Tac Squads will provide protection for the TFCs and man the Icarus Las Cannon.

Khan and the command Squad will Out flank, Dante and Jump Pack Assault Squad Will Deep Strike.

The Drop Pod unit will Come in next to a transport or objective turn 1. Basically a suicide unit to pop any transport or big nasty thing.

Once Dante and Khan come in they will engage units, pop in and out of combat using Hit and Run leaving the enemy units vulnerable to the TFC.

Fairly simple in my mind. But I have the feeling I'm missing something....

Thanks for looking!

hmmmmm...
Honestly, I would rework the list.
1) Try to take advantage of the special of all of the abilities your commanders offer.

So for Khan, I would give him a full bike squad. 10 guys with 2 plasma rifles, multimelta, and powerfist that can claim and outflank are pretty good.

Dante: Take a Sanguinary Guard squad. There's some 2+ armor and a hard hitting squad. Equip As Needed.

I'd also squeeze in a Stormtalon, and possibly a Stormraven, too. Personally, I like Stormravens equipped with locator beacon, and embarked w/Tactical Squad, Sanguinary Priest, Chaplain, and Furioso w/Frag Cannon.

Thanks for the assessment! :-) I totally agree on the full bike squad. I just have a bike command squad already so just used that. Also a storm raven would be great.

However is a Sanguinary guard for all its power better than a 10 man assault squad? I was thinking an assault squad gives more flexibility for wound allocation for Dante as well as the ability to claim objectives? For about 70 pts less also? Really interested to hear opinions on that.

Sanguinary guard area mega now that power swords need to get passed there 2+ armour save.

Also with Danta there they are a scoring unit and able to claim objectives. Give them a couple of melta pistols and land them behind a tank... No scatter 3 X melta at close range... BOOM! The dead tank should give them some cover from the resultant shooting as well! Then its time to start dealing out some pain. I assume the sanguinary priest with the jump pack is going with them? In which case with the new feel no pain of 5+ for all wounds what you have is flying obective holding terminators!

I normally arm mine with 3 swords and 2 Axes. Put the axe guys at the back with Danta and let the I4 guys take the first round of fighting. These leaves all your I1 guys to step foreward at there inititive step and kick some arse with all those S6 AP2 attacks!

I try and take the chapter banner with mine as well. For the tiny cost of 30 pts thats an extra attack for every one in the unit!

Sorry about my little rant but I bloody love those sanguinary guard!

It all depends on whatchya are trying to do with them. It is true, the Sanguinary Guard become a troops choice when you take Dante. That can change how you are planning to use them. The are pretty strong, because of the artificer armor. I like to call them flying terminators.

Some other things to think about:
Khan grants all infantry units outflank– a fun thing to do would be to take a land raider n' some terminators. outflank them! preferably shootiness, since you cannot charge when you enter the board.

Still the concept of this army is centered around using the TFC. I have found after turn 2 they are less effective because most of the troops are engaged in cc. By keeping them mobile with hit and run I should be able to blast enemy troops all game!

Hit n' Run is a good idea. Both Dante and Khan give lots of flexibility because of that.
Since that's the case, you want the squads to be extremely survivable that escort these characters.

For Khan, there are 2 ways: Take a full Bike squad, for lots of wounds, or take a command squad and give everyone storm shields.

For Dante, I really like Sanguinary Guard w/ Sanguinary Priest.
