Yeah, seems they failed that profile and since the books are in the prints already, they just decided to fix the issue this way, proactively :P

Monofilament is a rule, eh? Does that mean that Warp Spiders are gunna have that, too?

so what their FAQ's are now coming out BEFORE the book is released....stupid frakking editors

It's a single item found to be in error, we don't know what was wrong as yet.

I think that's not too bad an average.

It's one single item for gods sake.

No Eldargal it was exasperation.

Born of hyper-sensitivity. It was one bloody correction. By all mean complain about the mess that was the Dark Angel book, but getting cranky over one wargear entry being corrected is just stupid.

Magpie
05-25-2013, 05:23 AM
It's hardly even that, it is a correction to the reference section. Obviously every where else in the book the entry if fine.

I'll take pre-emptive FAQs over the "wait a year and we'll think about it" approach of yore, no question.

Also, this is why I only buy digital Codexes anymore. That error won't even be there when my copy downloads, and I'll get automatic updates...you know, during the next five or six rounds of revision. :p

Why... why are the other three pages blank?

*headscratch*

I'd say the reference section is the one place that should be absolutely correct. Wasn't for Tau, either. If you're going to put all the important info in one easily-found place, it should be the right info!

Probably why they put out a correction so quickly don't you think?

That's the odd thing with mistakes, you don't get to choose where they turn up.

You have to have won one of GW's secret mystery decoder rings they add to random sprues to read the other pages.

You do get to choose where you concentrate your proof-reading efforts, though.

I do a weird form of data entry for a living, and I know to double-check everything but quadruple-check the important bits.

Which bits of a Codex the important bits? All of it I would say. It's a big job, mistakes happen, deal and move on.

so with the current updated official FAQ, does that mean my Psykers can cast spells on people outside of transports this week for any games I play? Cause I don't see something saying I cannot....

I don't see anything that overturns "Declare Target" on Page 67 of the Rulebook

Conspiracy theory time... What if the other 3 pages are full of so many erratas that it'd give away most of the book so gw left them blank until the codex is availiable?

ok then what about casting spells on people within a transport, like normal psykers can, but Eldar were denied last FAQ?

DarkLink

If you're in the same transport.

A psyker inside a transport with no LOS can target himself or the transport. A psyker outside a transport can only target the transport, not the squad inside.

I don't think Psykers can cast them either, they can't see them.
