View Full Version : Imperator Titan and/or retardedly cheesy question

I have a two-part question for the gaming community. The first is a rules question thats a little fuzzy. The second is a personal outlook on cheesiness.

Lets just say, hypothetically of course, that I have an Imperator Titan. Lets just say. An Imperator titan can hold 52 models in each leg. On a related note, the new IG tech priest enginseers have rules allowing them to repair weapon-destroyed and immobilized results. So is it possible, in any fashion, to have enginseers inside the legs of an imperator fixing it as it gets damaged? Or, as an alternative, could the enginseers disembark from the titans legs, remain in base to base contact with the titan and fix it? do the enginseers rules even apply to superheavies?

I saw a guy post elsewhere about doing pretty much the same thing with his ork stompa (big meks inside just going to town on it). Is the imperial variant viable?

The second part of this question is, even if its allowed and legal...is it right? would i be TOO big of a dickhead for doing this? i mean, the imperator is pretty much as tough and lethal as it gets. would i be going just one step too far? Then again, this is apocalypse...no room for playing nice ;-) What if it was a chaos variant? Would 1000pts be enough to spend on a demonic possession upgrade for the whole titan?

what's your opinion?

Imperator? I hardly know her.

Now that's cheesy.

I don't see a problem with your scenario. It's Apoc, who cares?

You are asking the wrong people in the wrong place.

It doesn't matter.

You need to speak with your local gaming group and ask THEIR opinion, since theirs is the only opinion that matters.

The big mek's repair rule specifies both inside a vehicle and in base contact with it, whereas the enginseer's rule only specifies base contact. On that basis I wouldn't allow you to repair a vehicle with an enginseer if you were riding in it (in either Apoc or a regular game). As for Blessing of the Omnissiah affecting super-heavies, personally, I'd allow it.

I do not think what you are talking about is cheesy at all. It is exactly what the techpriest is supposed to do. I am with the last post that he needs to be in base to base if that is the way it is worded and not inside....that being said, I always deploy on techpriest on the upper level of my defense laser and another on the shoulders of my Warlord titan. I built the shoulders of the titan to hold an HQ/techpriest and 2 heavy weapons teams for exactly that reason.:D We are talking about Apocalypse after all...and I did purchase the titan techpriest model from Forge World.

i'd say its very fluffy in dictato it looks like a lot of little mechanicus guys inside it.
you could do it like say 2/5/10 techpreists for warhound/reaver/imperator?

Pics of the titan i once thought about buying a marchstick cathedrel for the body of one!
