Space Wolves Figures

Hi All,

I'm slowly building up a Space Wolves army. Who isn't, right? :)

I'm good with all of the new plastic sets and individual figures that have just come out, etc.

When you go to the GW online store website and select "Space Wolves" as the army, you can see quite a few figures that are "different" than what is being done in the plastic sets. Most of them appear to be scout types with plasma guns/pistols, a scout sergeant, etc.

Are these older figures that are being brought back into production? They aren't painted to the same standards as the newer stuff. The hairstyles are not the same, they just don't seem to fit in nicely with the new stuff. They also say "shipping in 3-4 weeks" or something like that.

Since they are making these available, I should not hold out for "newer" figures, right? Just go ahead and continue building standard figures in the SW style...

Just a little confused.

Most likely, they are older models being reproduced vs. new replacement models. For example they show the Rune Priest and RP in Terminator armour as being 3-4 weeks out but they are existing models in the product line. From what I have seen in the past, they would remove the model completly form the store before releasing a new one a few months don the road.

The only "new" models thus far are the wolf pack, wolf guard terminators, Canis, Njal, and Loki. Everything else has already existed. The scouts are the same generic plastic scouts for vanilla marines. Its up to you to use the wolf pack to try and make them for wolfie.

I am using the wolf pack for everything, from creating a new Ragnar and Grimnar to a wolf priest.

The wolf scouts are the older metal models (I have a bunch of them) They're not new fig though.

Thanks guys! I plan to use the newer stuff too. Just wanted to make sure I knew what was going on.
