Also, you're attacking an enemy unit. You're not affecting the Purifiers, you're affecting all enemy units that are engaged. They're pretty clearly the target, they get Deny the Witch. It's not like, say, Force Weapons where it simply makes the psyker's attacks inflict ID, and thus disallows DTW.
