Morning all. Nothing preachy or controversial here, and no company being attacked or practice being condemned.

You will however, find some pointers about how you might set about righting wrongs that have happened to you. At least in the UK to start with. Everyone, feel free to add in your local agencies or organisation!

So....

Trading Standards (www.tradingstandards.gov.uk)
These are the people to contact if a website based in the UK has left you feeling ripped off. Either taken your money and done a runner, or perhaps the goods were not as described. To the best of my knowledge, they can help as long as the Website is UK registered. You yourself need not be a UK citizen!

The Financial Ombudsman (www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk)
These fine people are your port of call for Paypal, who are under their jurisdiction. Unfortunately international customers may struggle here, as eCommerce is pretty tricky when it comes to jurisdictions. To the best of my knowledge, as long as the transaction was with a UK website, its under the Financial Ombudsman Service. Regardless, they are a free and impartial service, so whether just looking for info, or going all the way to an Ombudsman's decision, regardless of outcome, they won't charge you so much as a penny!

Hope this proves of use!
