GW have just posted this on the FB page, I would like the pic but I don't have access at work

4000pts!

Emperor-class Battle Titans are the largest most powerful war machines at the disposal of the armies of th Imperium; their firepower unrivalled by any other land vehicle in the galaxy, the size of their arm mounted weapons suppassed only by the ordinace of the largest ships of the Imperial Navy

As they appear on the horizon they begin bombarding the enemies of the Imperium with an awesome and relentless barrage, way out of range of most of the enemy artillery. Anything that somehow manages to withstand this long-range punishment is then mercilessly trampled under ground-shakling feet the size of a cathedral.

You can see it down in the modelling section (http://www.lounge.belloflostsouls.net/showthread.php?25440-40K-scale-Imperator-Titan-design), the model was made by isotope 99.:)

With all due respect to that build - I prefer my friend's Chaos Imperator titan better :)

Legs are fantastic, and the upper works are extremely good, but the head is meh and the body lets it all down, being just a giant box with griblies that looks nothing like the Emperor model or even inspired by it. After all the dynamic work of the legs and towers, the body was just an afterthought to hold the two together.

...And i suppose *YOUR* Emperor titan is more impressive?

I like the head and body myself, though a bit more shape as in the following artwork would have been nice:

Also a crotch cannon.

It's a legitimate criticism, though the face on view is the worst angle for making it look flat. I was starting to panic a bit about the weight I had added to the structure so I wanted to keep it relatively boxy. My plasticard skills are also not really up to doing fancy arches and the like.

I did consider the crotch gun, My ork stompa has a super gatler with two round drum maagazines ;) but I ultimately decided against it.

Classy.:p So now you are done with the Emperor, how about a gargant?:p Or mega-gargant.

No one can resist the frank eroticism of the mega-gargant. Not even me and I don't even like Orks.

Remember when instead of the crotch mounted gut-buster mega-cannon you could replace it with a set of jaws called "the snapper"... stay classy GeeDub, stay classy.

I always like the old mega-gargant that looked like a bunck of salad bowls stacked up with googly eyes on top. Sort of a giant mechanical cookie monster.

Isotope, only criticism I'd give is that the underside of the cathedral, above the head, could use more buttresses and texturing like the torso. The low angle shot makes it look very bare.
Other than that mad props for getting your model semi-official! :D

I should fess up and say that I patched together the datasheet myself so that it only had the guns I was using. WHW just posted it up on their page.

The MDF is incredibly hard to work with which is why that bit is very bare (I needed it to take the fortress weight but gluing plastic to MDF is really hard). I'm just going to have to live with that.

As for the gargant, I did think about that as it would be way easier than the titan in construction terms, not having any feet (several baneblades/shadowsowrds and a metric cr@p-ton of plasticard), but I'm going to have trouble storing the imperator, never mind another super-super-heavy. Plus it has no official rules and I have other projects I want to do and this took a huge amount of hobby time. But maybe if they publish some as part of an Apocalypse 2 who knows ;)

Next up on the apocalypse front is going to be a super-heavy dragon for my exodites force (counts as cobra/scoprpion). The rumours of a new eldar codex have got me looking at my exodite force again (I'm also working on a tree-bastion and a hippy avatar (yes I know the exodites don't officially have them but I love doing big monstrous creatures and my exodite's fluff has a damaged craftworld sunk in one of it's oceans, so that was where it came from)

I said semi-official, which is still pretty cool :p

Regardless it's a very impressive piece of work - have the repairs been successful?

Superheavy dragon sounds very interesting, and if it's going to be a Cobra at least storage should be a bit easier :)

Some chap on Warseer did a Dee Eee ravager (I think) based on the plastic Dark Elf dragon, it looked nice. If you are really hardcore use the FW Fire Dragon.:p

I think we possibly assess eroticism differently...

Early proto-Slaaneshi if you think about it like that.

Side note to bring it back to modeling: I remember it mentioned waaaay back when the resin gargants were produced that the "feet" were cast from baby shoes that had been modified.
Sort of makes me want to build one sometime, but stompas in modern 40K sort of are more like the "slasha" gargants of old.

I made my own Emperor Titan as well. I found a REALLY easy way to make a torso that was cheap, load bearing, and provided pleanty of "shape", plus it was easy to glue to. It was part of a bird feeder I found at WalMart. $8 was all it cost me, just pop off the top and bottom and you have a tough, plastic torso.

There was another Imperator Titan featured on BOLS a while ago. I found it and have the link below.

http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2009/02/showcase-40k-scale-imperator-titan.html

It looks really good, and that is the 40K Forge World Bio Titan in front of it, so it is quite large as well.

Here's the Imperator that I get to play against every Apoc game - except his version is 6000 pts and has more SP and void shields because it was dying way too easily to my Eldar warhost.

Also the two warhounds have been replaced by Warlords again because they never got to shoot before they died.
