I was expecting the sentry pylon to come with the third weapon option for some reason.

I really do like these and would gobble them up (especially if I was still in the UK) were money not an issue. Still, I am a little surprised at how derivative these pieces are. You can almost spot each individual component from existing kits. They could almost be home-done! It does give them nice continuity with the existing range, but I'd like to see things even more alien (much like the tomb stalker). A good step though. =)

The Ark certainly has a "shut up woman get on my horse" vibe.

Does it taste just like raisins?

Yes, but the raisins are very old, because Necrons.
I also just realized he's telling the kids to get off his lawn, also because Necrons.

Forge World's foray into Necron territory has been very hit and miss for me. I absolutely loved the Canoptek stalker when it came out, and I think the piece of scenery they've released was pure genius - but I'm sadly not too impressed with these 2 models, they just seem a bit too safe and uninspired and I would of likde to of seen more bigger/stranger stuff for example a giant necron factory-barge that creates new warriors, or a massive canoptek kit the size of a titan.

It's very possible, however my expectations have just been too high since I have been anticipating a necron IA for a long number of years and built up in my head of what it could of been like. In which case, feel free to gauss-b1tch-slap me :D

Im going to have to get my wife several of the pylons for her necrons. It looks like they fill a much needed gap in the cron army. The ark looks very nice, i should probally get her one too.

Thats all my poor guard need, more cron weapons to kill them all lol

He does have that "You young whippersnappers" pointing finger thing going.

Is it just me or does the Tesseract Ark look like the back half of a Ghost Ark with jock-strap on for protection???

I was thinking C-Strap thong :)

I will add I am a little disappointed by the model. its as you have said basically a ghost ark with the front end taken off replaced by some resin bits (they are nice i admit). But at £55 thats a bit steep for what is essentially 60% a GW kit that costs quite a bit less

Nice models.

So far for this IA though the things that look most attractive to me are the RoB tile and the Sentry Pylon, as they offer something a bit different to my army than what I already have.

Actually, sharing some of the disappointment people have expressed over the Ark and bomber, I've realized something kind of odd:
this is exactly the same sort of treatment IG and Marines get from FW (new vehicle variants built on existing chassis), for which myself and many others love them. Yet somehow when this treatment gets applies to Necrons it feels a bit lacklustre...strange.

At any rate, were money no object I've snap up a bit of everything (except the Acanthrites...they do nothing for me). Since money is an object, however, I'll be setting my sights on the aforementioned board tile and pylons first.

I think because the IoM already has such an abundance of kits, when you just get what is effectively a conversion kit for one of the comparatively rare xenos releases it feels like a let down.

I seem to remember FW mentioning that they found it harder and more time consuming to sculpt Xenos vehicles - so it would make sense if they sought to save time by making conversion kits first.

I got back from Salute yesterday and I got some nice photos of the new Tesseract Ark and a few other bits and bobs.

I'm terrible at uploading photos to the Forums, so I've dropped them on my blog here (http://the-responsible-one.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/salute-2013-forge-world-display.html).

Ugly little gun aside, I actually dig that Ark design quite a bit - brings back some of the "weird" that got stripped out of the gawpy new Necron aesthetic.
