A quick question..... The Thallax Cohorts are labeled as "Jet pack Infantry"..Yet the wargear shows no actually jet pack. Using the BRB Jet pack gains relentless, bulky, and deep strike. An option for the Thallax is to add deep strike for a point cost....why? Jetpack gives Deep strike for free...with 18" wep range and being HVY it makes sense they would be relentless...Thoughts, Opinions?

i would say that they are jump infantry and as to them not having a wargear option for them is probably because they are actual part of the torso on the models.
just my thoughts
P.s just finished painting my first cohort

Jet packs aren't wargear, Jet Pack Infantry is a unit type. If that what the book says they are, then they follow all of the rules for Jet Pack Infantry.
As for the Deep Strike upgrade... Forgeworld forget things occasionally, like the Hyperios platforms which have Heatseeker despite being Twin-Linked anyway.

Agreed. These are the next models on my shopping list. I really like the idea of them.

Agreed ForgeWorld get things wrong all the time. I sent an email question about the fluff section on the Dreadclaw saying they were like drop pods but the unloaded unit could assault on the turn it arrived, while the rules at the bottom of the IA (Aeronautica) book said they counted as deep striking unit on the turn they arrived, and then became flyer/hover.
They replied that they made an error and the rules should have said they deep strike in a similar fashion to a drop pod, and the unloaded unit then could assault on the turn it arrived. They said they would correct the rules in the next release, but I have not heard about it being fixed yet, nor have they released a FAQ/Eratta for it either. Strangely though, the Dreadclaw has been absent from the Forgeworld site for a few months now, perhaps they are releasing a new model for it, and will release the rules for it then.
