I'm not sure how long ago this product came out or why it was apparently a limited edition run, but for some reason GW still have the product page up on their site and I found it by accident whilst browsing and liked the look of it:

This box set contains four sets of resin counters, including: three sign posts, six bases of bombs, four booby traps and nine clusters of mines. Also supplied are twelve 40mm round bases.

So I thought I'd have a look and see if anywhere still had them for sale. I looked on ebay and while they do turn up there I wasn't keen on the price they go for. But I did find Dark Sphere's store who have a limited number still in stock according to their website. I've ordered two packs (and received email that they were dispatched today) so thought I'd chuck up a link here in case anyone else is interested in grabbing some while they are still availiable:

Mines, Bombs And Booby Traps for £9.20. (http://www.darksphere.co.uk/p.php?p=2149&c=333)

I completely missed/forgot about this release. Not sure I will get it, but it is a neat idea. What would you use them for?

I'm on a mini scenery making spree right now, already made a bunch of tank traps and a fuel dump, and have an ammo dump on my desk at the moment. There's a couple pages worth of ideas/rules for such in the 6th edition 40k rulebook. I'm thinking that the big oval base or the large monster base that GW do with one of the signposts in the middle and a bunch of the mines around it, with maybe a dead figure sprawled amongst them (might buy the Space Marine Casualties pack for them) would make for a nice area of dangerous terrain, probably do a couple like that and another with unexploded bombs/shells. The booby trap bits I'll likely just use on bases.

Yeah I've just bought 2 for bases and stuff. This is the kind of stuff i like to put on them

Woot, mine arrived in the post this morning. You get 4 tubs of resin bits, the same size tubs as in the Basing Kit's that GW continues to sell plus 12 40mm round bases. Doubt I'll use the bases anytime soon as I already had a load of those, but I'm going to have fun making areas of dangerous terrain and some objective markers with the bits that's for sure.

Gonna have to stock up on textured paint as that stuff is great for disguising the edges of the resin bits, especially the snow one as can then spray basecoat over it.

This was a lim. ed. set for Planetary Invasion. It was released alongside the supplement.

I had a set. Donated it to my local store for their city board last year. Dead useful kit.

Planetstrike? I thought it was for Cityfight ... not sure though.

Looks like Dark Sphere have now sold out of this set as it can no longer be added to a shopping basket. I have my couple packs of it and plan on making some minefields using the big 100mm x 150mm monster base's that GW do.
