I thought I'd share what I'm working on right now, a combined Witch Hunter/Daemon Hunter Inquisitorial force, it's coming along slowly, but surely
First up are my two squads of Adeptus Arbites. On all these guys, I used a Drimmel to roughly carve off the Imperial Eagles on all their shoulder pads, and painted the =][= over the gouges, these guys have been inducted for the long haul. Completely painted, but not based yet.

Yellow Squad will be using their riot suppression skills in the Inquisitor's retinue as Crusaders.

Next we have some completed Henchmen, again all the painting is done, just need to base them.
The Preacher is here to bring Mercy to all heretics.

A couple of my finished Servitors (made from old Epic Knights)

And finally, here's some of my current actives, in various stages of completion
Acro-Flagellants - about 80% done, mostly detail work and blacklining left

My first Inquisitor, a lightly converted Mephestion, and his acolyte both have a good bit of work left.

I'll try to keep this updated as things progress.

Okay, I wrapped up the Acro Flagellants, I'm rather happy with them, and how the Combat Drugs contrast with the overall "Standard" Inquisitorial color scheme

Woo-Hoo! It's a Painting Day!
Here's a trio of more militant acolytes in Carapace Armour, all packing Storm Bolters, ready to add a nice fistfull of dice to a shooty Inquisitor's retinue. Ended up using bits from 7 different plastic sets.

I didn't spend as much time trimming/filing these guys as I should have, but I really want this Army to be able to hit the ground painted soon, once I have a viable force, I may spend more time working on showcase pieces.

I finished my first Inquisitor, he is a light conversion of Mephestion. Well, I thought I was finished until I saw a couple of things in the pics, but that should only take a couple minutes. I did a bit of freehand on the Banner and cape, but not too much. Overall, I'm pleased with him, and I'll be happy to field him until I get my Throne of Judgment done (which is to say, started).

Man, there is nothing like seeing your stuff blown up to ten times their size to make you want to put the paint on more smooth.
Feedback is always appreciated.

I know where most of my deficiencies as a painter/modeler come from, it's mostly is from my list of "I don'ts"
I don't work with green stuff much, not for added details, nor for simple things like filling in joints and gaps, unless they are extreme.
I don't paint any of my basing materials, I instead keep a wide variety of stuff to base with around, tallus, ballast, cinders, and different colors of static grass. Basing is always an afterthought, and hardly ever part of the modeling itself. I'm going to have to see what I can pick up in a larger quantity if I'm going to do an entire army. while I have lots of simple flock I now prefer static grass, and I like the look of mixed media on a base.
I don't wet-mix colors, I prefer to keep a wide variety paints instead. This can hamper some subtle color changes.
I don't use a palate, preferring to paint out of the tops of paint pots, which means that I have less control over the consistency of my paints.
But I know that every time I can hurdle one of these "I don'ts" I improve as a painter.

Finished my first Sage, we can always use those shooting re-rolls. He's started his career as a Mordheim Carnival of Chaos figure. I'm pretty pleased with him, a nice muted color scheme, with enough contrast to still show up on the field.

Superb job, not in the least because I absolutely love the Carnaval of Chaos minis. He really fits in quite well for the inquisition!
