Been away, been busy for a while - couple of months now at least - and I figured things would be hunky-dory...
Come back and it's like racoons broke in and had a house party with the whole forest!

And just when did the Tau get awesome?! I thought the little blue guys were being quietly pushed along the same path as the Squats..?
My mate linked me a pic of their new suit (I believe it's called a Dreadknight?) and it looks like the offspring of XV8/Dreadnought angry sex. *shudder*

Thanks for the welcome! Although I must say for a few moments there I was getting very worried about whether everyone was alright.. or maybe suffering from some form of mass mania ;)

Now that the new Tau things are coming I have to cram in as many butt-whuppings as I can. One of our local players has already saved up some money (probably enough for a second hand car) and intends to refit his whole Tau army. It will not be fun playing him unless the new Codex is almost as lame as the old ones.

On the other hand my amassing of my IG army continues apace. I have blobs of soldiers and some heavy weapons teams. Next on the agenda; Heavy Metal.
Anyone have any suggestions? I need some vehicles that won't fall apart the moment they run into Marines?

Any flavour of Leman Russ + Pask is a great combo, just keep the beasts moving and with your forward armour to the target.

Also, the devil dog is a bit of beast, lighter, faster and more fragile than the LRBT but it's weaponry makes marines cry.

Battle cannons love to squash marines and like Wolfshade has said as long as you keep the front armour faceing any incoming fire they should last, also if you have the board size and terrain blocking line of sight basilisks are great for the points and deal some nice early pain to units like Devestators I always spam up on chimeras too with twin heavy flamers you would be suprised how much fire people focus on them as you drive them towards their lines even though they are only 55pts each.

The one thing that you do need to be wary of, and I can think of no suitable defence for this is Drop Pod Sternguard. A small sized squad of Sternguard, dropping behind your armour / in the tank pool armed to the teeth with meltas of all different flavours (gun/combi/multi/bomb) and just have at your armour.
