So I haven't played WFB in a while, but every so often I have the urge to paint up some of the figures. I saw the Vampire Counts Cairn Wraith and really liked the model. It's simple but conveys nice movement. I was also experimenting with creating more interesting bases for my figures. I started with the gaming base and then used layers of torn cork to build up the structure. By tearing the cork instead of cutting I also get a nice texture which I enhanced by gluing some sand here and there. In case anyone is interested, the cork actually came from Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/87077700/), cheap and nice and thick. After painting it I added some woodland scenics grass and some snow effects to finish it off. The ground is at a slight angle to mirror the movements in the cloak. I also angled the grass as if it were being blown by the wind. I hope you like the end result.

I also picked up the tomb banshee but haven't started on her yet. I'll be sure to post when I do.
