the Dread is awesome. I must respectfully submit, the base lets it down a bit - the rubble looks like sprue, I would have tried to get the cylindrical bits off to make it more brick like.

i was thinking the same thing denzark.

tomorrow i will cut the cylindrical shapes square, i was thinking of adding another square bar of sprue and giving it a bit of height and making it more 3 dimensional. not to much of course, i wouldn't want it to get in the way of the dread itself.

thanks for the input :)

I may also add some muddy rusted razorwire or something. i think the base does need a bit more detail.

Love it, the painting is nice, and the weathering isn't too over the top. The NMM is nice and subtle and I really like the lenses on the helmet. Not too sure on the stance on the model, but thats just me being fickle. I actually like the base as is except for the sprue bits as Den said. But really I am just looking for things to critique. Its a solid paint scheme and looks great.

thanks deadlift :) I agree with the stance comment also. he was meant to look like he was running, but i think the way the fist is has thrown him into a (if i dare say) girly sort of pose :p i think it may have come off better if i had brought the fist around, as if he was running into melee or something.

ah well. the next one shall have to give it another go in the stance department :p

thanks again. this is giving me many ideas :)

Thats cool, i have built and painted 4 of those models now and i know how difficult it is to get the stance how you want it, my 1st one looks like he is about to break into some ballet :)

I now use blue tac to get the arms and legs how I want them before sticking, it helps........ a bit lol

hello again. updates:

as suggested I attempted to make the sprue basing look abit more square by removing the circle bits from it. i think it is quite an improvement :)

also added:

catapharactii sergeant
cataphractii 1
(updated) contemptor

enjoy and C&C welcome :)
