The princess and the frog is an allegory of how women enter a relationship with men and try to change them.
They impose their nature and expect the frog to become a prince, even though he is a frog.

Shrek is quite the flip on this as instead of frog changing it is the princess.

It reminds me of one of the wedding sermons I've heard, it was a female priest who said it:

"When you get married there are lots of things that you do, the first is you walk down the aisile, you stand in front of the alter and sing some hymns. Now if you take the consituent parts you get marriage aisile, altar, hymn [I'll alter him]"

Though it is better than the three bears of marriage

To Bear
Forebear
& Huggy Bear urgh.

I've heard frogs scream when our cats get hold of them. It is pretty much what I'd imagine a banshee's wail to be like. The first time we heard it we assumed someone was murdering a baby in our garden, took us a while to figure out what it was. It also does absolutely nothing to deter our cats from using them as play things. We now have no more frogs in our garden. Or any other land-based creature smaller than say, your average house cat.

The only reason princesses kiss frogs is because they expect them to turn into princes, which further reinforces my view that all women, even fairy tale princesses are money grabbing witches out trap a wealthy man for no other reason than they like expensive handbags and shoes.

That frog in the posted video is proper cute though.

The frog is rather cute though, and cuddleable (unlike my tarantula who's grumpy) which I think is an important factor in a potential pet.

Moreover, how did the fox get in? If the door was opened/window what was it doing in the middle of winter where temperatures dropped below freezing?!

But would a fox enter a home against its every instinct, to get itself into a situation where it would be traped in a house without an easy escape route just to nibble at baby fingers. I say bollocks it would. Going though garbage cans in a garden maybe, but not this. I suspect Parental neglect in this story and the fox story was an excuse. The local authority's were never able to confirm this "fox attack" claim.

yeah I get the pidgeon thing, my boy has a very strong predatory instinct. Pidgeons, ducks, squirrels and seagulls would all be on the menu were we able to let him off his lead, unfortunately he is quite unpredictable as far as other dogs go too. He is was going to be sent to the RSPCA as a rescue dog, but we stepped in a rehomed him and when we got him we were told he was a Staffie cross. Took him to the vets for castration and to be microchipped. Vet whilst very friendly asked us lots of questions about him. Turns out we may have an American Staffie, or otherwise known as a Pit Bull. The vet said don't make an issue of it as he is so people friendly and just make sure you keep him on a lead. We're training him to be more dog friendly using treats and positive reenforcement and praise. It's slowly working but I doubt we will ever risk him off the lead.

Yeah both of mine are rescuses, the staffie is missing his front leg through abuse, not that it stops him. The masstif was on that RSPCA pet rescue programme on Sky a while ago, not that we knew at the time.
The problem is that quite a lot of dogs are breeding that perhaps shouldn't owing to poor temperament. Mine have formed their own pack and can be a bit of handful off their leads, not vicious but boisterous, one approaches from the front while the other circles round to the flank, so I tend to walk them at strange times to avoid others, and hysterical owners.
Staffies are super friendly with the family but were bred as guard dogs so can be terribly territorial.
A friend of mine has a pack of pedigree bull terriers and they are brilliant fun but when they are all together they wind each other up something wicked. She has recently bred and had 4 pups which were adorable, so I helped out socialising and puppy sitting, the most naughty one was perfectly well behaved for me and was such a cutie, but apparently 2 dogs is enough :(.
Next time I'm going to hold out for Deer Hounds :)

Pitbulls are not banned, your just not allowed to breed them. which is why the vet said to insure him as a Staffie cross, which technically he is.

We have had castrated, insured and chipped which I think all dog owners should do. Pit bulls are supposed to be registered and tattooed plus all of the above things we have already done. If I thought he was a threat to anyone I wouldn't have given him a home, but he is so fantastic with the children and friends and family I am worried if I register him as a pitbull (which he may not be anyway) then he could be taken away whilst the registration process is going on. This could be 6 months. He is a dog who loves his comforts and it would distress him greatly to be away and in kennels for that length of time. I will stick with what the Vet said, as long as you can trust him and you look after him in a responsible manner, just treat him as a Staffie cross who is a great dog.

Here is a picture of him with my brother.

Ain't that the truth, you look at the RSPC website and the majority of dogs for rehoming are staffies. After all it is cool to train your dog to be vicious and attack people, it's a status symbol like wearing your waistband around your ankles.

The thing is most staffies are actually quite rubbish at being aggressive, so these knobs who have them for the wrong reason and can't get the dog to be as aggressive as they want and realise as a weapon they are quite crap, the abandon them. Anyone who knows staffies will tell you they are really not aggressive at all. The Kennel club only recommends 2 breeds of dog to be totally reliable with children. Staffies are one of those breeds.

Unfortunately in situations like this, people look at the wrong end of the lead and blame the dog. Irresponsible owners are to blame.

The government brought in law the other week which says all dogs must be micropchipped now (though you have 5 years to get it done). Any which are not will lead to owners being fined (though those which aren't are likely not to have owners so that seems somewhat pointless).

I'm also surprised that your dog doesn't seem at alarmed by the presence of a ghost (or possibly an angel) in the room. I thought they were pretty good at sensing those sort of things.
