SEXXX and Sexism - 'Isms' in 40K

I have seen a few threads now pertaining to political correctness (Evil John Blanche art thread), positive action (Salamander Thread) and general human rights. As duty adult I would like to say we should join together and fight these issues. There is absolutely no irony that central factor of this game is the neo-fascistic all pervading Imperium who controls every aspect of its citizens, from thoughts to religions. No Irony at all that we worry about these things whilst acknowledging a pantheon of Gods who deal respectively in Plague (Weapons of mass Destruction) Blood and Murder (Genocide) Ultimate sin (orgy snuff with hermaphrodites) and some strange wicca magicky things. When Space Dwarfs were aborted just for being Persons of Restricted Growth (PORGs).

If you will bear with my ramblings, as a general, we know about target priority (selection and maintenance of the aim etc) and focus (economy of effort). As such, we should take on one of the issues first, and I vote for trying to banish sexism in 40K.

I think we need an information campaign to highlight this issue. As such, I propose the Girls (sorry Ladiez not Girls) of BoLS Lounge should take one for the team (so to speak) and pose naked for a charity calendar. If it worked for the WI it will surely work for us. Just imagine how much our lives will be enriched when every other guardsman model is a female (yes I know its hard to tell boobies and long hair under body armour and helmets in 1:48- but hey). How happy I shall be when curvy sisters are rendered in Plastic minus the zeppelin sheds on the front of their armour.

So step up Melly-issia, come forward Eldargal et al. Let us know and I will make the arrangements.

Okay. Note to lost children of the Great British Empire, Aliens and other Americans present.

The Forum seems to have a few threads dedicated to Gender, Race etc. at the moment. Some of us find it quite amusing that people who play a game based on a universe full of Fascist, Racist, Sexist, deviant perverts who worship Gods dedicated to murder, plague and unholy magic should be concerned with such issues. (Although I would hazard a guess that one of these was started in a cynical attempt to win a certain prize).

In England we have an organization called the Womens Institute (WI) who date back to WW2. They are a charitable organization staffed by Older Ladies and to put some life back into their failing organization decided to do a nude calender featuring their members to drum up support, An Oscar winning movie was made about this (Calender Girls)

Denzark, in jest, is suggesting that the Female members of the Forum get their kit off for such a calender to fight sexism in 40K.

The gist of the whole post is an Ironical comment on how all of a sudden there seems to be an outbreak of political correctness in no way connected to a big fat prize being offered.

@ "Mell and "the one": Well.... you got it spot on....some of us old Europeans still have the privileged to be Royally ****ed, while the "lesser" countries only get bum ****ed and then some aren't even ****ed any more, they are only screwed (usually the colonials). Then again....dying generally means you don't care how ****ed you are. So in sense the Imperial system is one big **** up, that at least provides equal measures of **** for everyone in the end.
