Where are the rules for Daemon Weapons?

I'm a new 40K player with a slowly-growing Chaos Marine army. I'd like to give one of my leaders the Black Mace from page 69 of the codex, but I don't understand all of the special rules. What is a "Daemon Weapon"? And where can I find the Daemon Weapon special rules? I'm pretty sure I'm missing something obvious, but I can't find them in the codex or the main rulebook.

Its on p30 of the Chaos Space Marine Codex.
Basically you roll a d6, on a 1 you take a wound, on a 2+ you gain that many extra attacks
