Coteaz + Manned guns

This has probably been asked before but can Inquisitor Coteaz' ability 'Ive been expecting you' be used if he is the model 'manning' a Quad gun on a Bastion/Aegis defence line?

Seems rather interesting for him to take potshots of any Flyers that come in too close.

Gun emplacements are fired instead of the model's own weapon, so yes. Although on the tabletop it looks like the model is shooting a giant gun, from a rules perspective he might as well be holding it in his hands.
