I run them as Templars about half the time, and use codex SM the rest.

These are the most insane, unfluffy conversions I have ever seen. I think I love them for that.

It isn't canon, but I figure that the combination of Templars sneaking around the "no more legions" rule (which means they have to be starting up crusades without knowledge of the inquisition, so less tracking of the geneseed) combined with a particularly savvy Broodlord infesting a population slowly enough that the obvious mutations don't show up until compromised marines are in positions of power makes it possible enough to roll with. Besides, painting power armor all day is boring.

I think the Ripper head guys are the funniest. Well played for executing a truly bizarre take on a standard army. You deserve a lot of credit for taking an idea and running with it, even if that ideas is as mad as a bag of spanners! :D

As a nid player I started reading this thread with a righteous indignation: I could not have been more wrong. This has got to be one of my favorite pet projects, and REALLY pushed boundaries in a great way.

As with the others, I also love the ripper heads. The speeder below tickles me in my special place.
