Shooting twice

I was just curious where in the rulebook it states that a model with more than two shooting weapons can't use both of them in the shooting phase? i.e. a character on foot with two storm bolters making four shots in one turn or a plasma pistol/bolt pistol combo making a S7 and a S4 attack in the shooting phase. I know that it's not legit, but I was curious one night and couldn't find it written anywhere in the 5th ed book. Thanks.

BRB pg 15, third paragraph under The Shooting Phase section: "Normally each model in a firing unit may fire a single weapon. Some models, including vehicles, may be able to fire more than one weapon, as detailed later."

Don't worry, I missed it my first read-though too when I checked the rules just now;).
