Club game last night between WoC an Skaven. The Skaven player miscast with his Warplock Engineer and rolled 10. Now the question asked by the skaven player was as an Engineer is not a wizard, How can he be affected by the level drop? The WoC player argued that in game terms the Engineer counts as a Level One wizard and therefore had lost its ability to use its warpgeneratorthingy.
Opinions?

My opinion is that the new skaven book is practically moments away, and this issue will cease to exist.

I've played against skaven quite a bit - and we've always resolved it that he is no longer a wizard - the book doesn't say we loses magical equipment - it says he loses a level - and just is no longer a wizard.

In the new skaven book he counts as a normal rat (if you could say normal) that can be upgraded to either level 1 or 2.
