First I was just wondering if GW/FW has ever released a model for the Iyaana Arienal character for Eldar or is it just one of those special characters you had to make a version of yourself, also as the thread titel would suggest what are the rules for useing old characters if they have not been updated with the current codex, obviously if I was playing a game with friends I would just let them know I was using an out of date character but what are the rules are you allowed to use them or are they confined to the past with all the other out of date material in the codices?

I don't think that they ever have done and I think that she appeared in 3rd ed codex and didn't make it into the latest one. So you might have to homebrew the rules and points to reflect what her abilities were and how these could work in 6th.

Unreleased, they pop up on eBay from time to time.

/owns one.

The easiest thing to do would be use her as a generic Farseer (or Eldrad Ulthran...) Otherwise look at her 3rd edition rules and try and work out how much you think it would be worth in modern points terms starting with the base cost of a farseer. Playtest it with friends and tweak the points value if need be.

Just a few (dozen) RT era models I've not been able to track down yet (laziness mostly) and a couple of other unreleased farseers.:) No doubt there are lots of other unreleased eldar I'm not even aware of. As far as I know I have ever released eldar from 1992 or so.

I think you almost made my point here.

I would love to get ahold of the old metal bonesinger model for my brother some day, it is a stunning model and would be a great addition to his eldar army. While he doesn't have much he is coming along well and despite his horrid win history, still has tons of fun. He is becoming a much better player for having learned on such a difficult curve.

I agree, I am looking at it now, it is around 50 dollars. I plan to some day when I have the discretionary income to be able to justify it. Yay college student?

@Eldargal- Well that is me now officially jealous as f**k, that is a really nice model going to have to track down one for myself.

So no official rules reguarding the use of older characters then, that is annoying I hate to win games when not playing by the rules makes it feal like I have cheated, just somthing to field against my mates then as I recall her rules would still work in 6thed so I will probably just scan that one page out of my old codex, it is a shame that the current codex does not have any new in depth characters in it other than Yriel.

If you let me know with a stuff of legends picture I can check my few - my eldar is only for allies and the RT stuff is mainly for interest...

I am with EG on this one, that model is worth the 50 dollars hands down. It is a stunning model, even if it just ends up being a display piece, it is just beautiful

So sad the Bonesinger was limited edition/rulesless, would've made an awesome Eldar psychic techmarine.

I'm not a fan of it. So it may be worth that to you, but not to me.
