Hello everybody out there!
We're a new club that has opened on RAF Mildenhall in the UK and we're going to have our very first tournament on January 26/27.
Time: 900 to 1900 on the 26th and 10-1600 on the 27th.
Armies: 1750pts from any codex published (inc SoB) by GW but no Forgeworld gear or armylists. Bog standard missions from the rulebook, allies and fortifications allowed. Ontop of this you get a "free" 185 unique unit/special character/HQ choice
Theme: Fun to play against, basically most are brand new players and none of us wants to be smashed up by super elitist lists
Cost: 10 GBP, this goes towards prize support and future events
Where: Galaxy club on RAF Mildenhall
We're mainly aiming this at the lost and confused US military members in this grand country, but that's not to say we're excluding british players, not at all. Most of the players are brand new and some haven't even played more then a month or so, which is why we're aiming at 3 hours per game (this is extremely unlikely but still might be).
All lists are to be submitted before January 19th (this allows you to play DA if you so desire), all lists will be checked and those that are deemed "elitist" will be rejected and the player contacted to change it. This is about all of us having fun, not one person smashing face and spending the next 2 hours 45 minutes being annoyed that the rest of us aren't done yet.
There is no requirement that your army be painted, just make sure it's at least got WSIWYG. Any questions post here or PM me, I'll answer them as quickly as I can.
I know this is very very late to announce this event but the legal office have been giving us more then a run around, hopefully we'll garner some players and see what happens.
