As my birthday draws nigh, I've decided that I need to get my Amazon wishlist in order. At the moment, I'm most into my new Eldar army - my birthday present to myself - and I think I'll emphasize growing it. The question is, in your opinion - based on what's good now, what's likely to stay good with the codex update, and what I should do to round out my collection - what should I prioritize?

Here's what I have now:
• 1 Foot Farseer
• 1 Jetbike Farseer
• 1 Foot Warlock
• 6 Striking Scorpions w/Exarch
• 20 Dire Avengers, 2 Exarchs
• 20 Rangers
• 10 Guardians w/Weapon Platform (the weapon is swappable)
• 6 Jetbike Guardians
• 3 Shining Spears
• 11 Warp Spiders, 2 Exarchs (can be fielded in two units of 5 or one unit of 10)
• Falcon w/Magnetized Turret
• 3 Wave Serpents w/Magnetized Turrets

At the moment, my wishlist is arranged thusly:

Highest Priority
• Forgeworld Avatar
• Forgeworld Shadow Spectres Exarch
• Forgeworld Shadow Spectres
• Wraithlord

High Priority
• Dark Reapers
• Fire Dragons
• Wraithguard
• More Foor Warlocks
• War Walkers

Mid Priority
• Fareseer & Warlocks Box (To convert into jetseers and a spare warlock)
• Forgeworld Wraithseer (Not likely to happen...)
• 2 Fire Prisms
• MANY more jetbikes (to make jetlocks, maybe a jetaurch, and more shining spears)

Low Priority
• Warp Hunter (Not likely...)

Lowest
• The Phoenix Lords (because, why not?)
• Swooping Hawks (for completeness's sake)

Anything I'm missing? Anything you'd arrange differently, given the above?

I'd move the Dark Reapers down two, while nice not as good as Fire Dragons or Wraithguard.

The new codex and model release is putting me off buying anything other than stuff to heavily convert that GW most likely will not release, I don't know about you but one thing I hate is having old models in my army if the new ones look even better expecially if I have only just wasted my money buying them, just a thought before you spend the money to upgrade your army only to find out in the next codex you need different models or there are better versions.

Hard to say what the new codex will bring, rules-wise for existing things, and new models-wise.

I have my own list for my Eldar, but that will be to my own tastes and also based off various things I still have from last playing that need paint stripping... however, in among my 'new stuff to get list' I'm definitely thinking some Wasps for beardyness - putting them in as Corsair allies to a craftworld host means I could stick in a batch of what are essentially war walkers, but counting as troop choices.

Walkers and Hornets...i just played the first game against Blood Angels wit 3 x 3 War Walkers and they kicked ***! Scatter Lasers decimated Whirlwinds and Doomed Terminator -unit, plus outflanking is always so fun :)

Third'ing the War Walkers- they're much more impressive in action than just their statline suggests. Also, if you Outflank the walkers and/or run Deepstriking Warp Spiders, consider getting the Autarch sooner rather than later, both for the reserves bonus and because he can be kitted out to do just about anything and so shore up if there's one job you're weak at for the moment.

What about one of the Forgeworld aircraft that are approved for normal 40K games? That would round out the biggest missing Eldar capability.

I ended up getting a trio of super-cheap, beat up war walkers on eBay. I'll be fixing them up soon. Thus, I now have war walkers, and war walkers are out of the running.

At least, you know, until I decide that I want six more :D.

There's always room for 6 more >_>. One of my first games in 5th was against the 3x3 War Walkers and 2x12 Bladestorming Dire Avengers. Talk about an alpha strike.

Here's what I have now:
• 1 Foot Farseer
• 1 Jetbike Farseer
• 1 Foot Warlock
• 6 Striking Scorpions w/Exarch I feel your pain. I got 18 of the *******s and can't seem to find a useful place for them in my lists.
• 20 Dire Avengers, 2 Exarchs Great!
• 20 Rangers Plenty
• 10 Guardians w/Weapon Platform (the weapon is swappable)
• 6 Jetbike Guardians Get 3 more so you can make 3 squads of 3. Useful objectives chasers.
• 3 Shining Spears
• 11 Warp Spiders, 2 Exarchs (can be fielded in two units of 5 or one unit of 10) Good but getting an extra box would not hurt. 5 is a small squad and gets decimated rather quickly. 10 has a large Deep Strike footprint. Two squads of 7 is an interesting balance and works rather well.
• Falcon w/Magnetized Turret
• 3 Wave Serpents w/Magnetized Turrets

At the moment, my wishlist is arranged thusly:

Highest Priority
• Forgeworld Avatar
• Forgeworld Shadow Spectres Exarch Tried playing with them and they die easily. Disappointed so far. If you really want them I hope you have better luck than me.
• Forgeworld Shadow Spectres See above
• Wraithlord Always good and hopefully you do not have too many Dark Eldar players in your area.

High Priority
• Dark Reapers Great with a Psyker or a Bastion
• Fire Dragons A must for EVERY list. At least one suicide squad to open the biggest can on the field.
• Wraithguard Meh...I do have 10 but expensive, slow and short-range. Maybe better luck in the next codex.
• More Foor Warlocks Always good
• War Walkers Philosophical dilemma so I will skip.

Mid Priority
• Fareseer & Warlocks Box (To convert into jetseers and a spare warlock)
• Forgeworld Wraithseer (Not likely to happen...)
• 2 Fire Prisms
• MANY more jetbikes (to make jetlocks, maybe a jetaurch, and more shining spears) Yes more jetbikes

Low Priority
• Warp Hunter (Not likely...) Play with a pair proxies a few times and that thing will spike up at the top of your list. I don't even field Fire Prism anymore if I have Warp Hunters.

Lowest
• The Phoenix Lords (because, why not?) Fuegan and Maugan Ra are great with a Harlie-star
• Swooping Hawks (for completeness's sake)

Anything I'm missing? Anything you'd arrange differently, given the above?
