Here is my work-in-progress Immolator:

I am painting in similar to the Order of Argent Shroud scheme. This one I bought off eBay already built and I got it before I got three new kits for Christmas from my wife. it is missing some things I found out like smoke launchers, many of the religious ornaments and the clear piece. I can add some of these later I guess. It still has lots of work to go like painting the white again an few times, touch ups and detail painting. I plan to do the Fleur de Lys in gold.

I have been a 1/35 scale armor model builder for many years and it is hard to wrap my head around bright metallic combat vehicle with bright colors on it. I guess i will get used to it. Also, I hand-painted this vehicle and although you can't see it in the pictures there are brush-strokes which kind of rankles me a bit. I am used to airbrushing but find it difficult to airbrush Citadel paints. But I have to keep reminding myself that these are table top wargaming items and not display models. The visual aspect of the unit is what makes it.

This scheme is taking much time to do and I got three more Immolators/Rhinos and an Exorcist to build and paint. Got to keep that Forge World hopping.

Your constructive comments are appreciated.

Yes, I do need it. I am in Michigan. I'll send you a PM. Thanks!

Sisters of Battle vehicles always tended to take me longer. Typically, I airbrushed the main color on and then hand-painted the rest. That saved me a lot of time as well as using an assembly line process of airbrushing 2 or 3 vehicles at a time and then doing all the red parts on all the vehicles, etc.

I'm also a 1/35 scale armor modeler and the techniques are very different although I typically do some weathering effects around the treads and lower armor to represent mud and rust.

I can't seem to get the Citadel paint to spray well. I've tried water and then Windex and the pigment seems to separate and pool instead of spraying evenly. It is a difficult paint to see how well it is mixed or if thinned too much.

Try Vallejo Game colors. Those work really well.

I was just talking to my son about Vallejo paints this afternoon as an alternative. There is one place I know that sells them around here is the Toy Soldier Shop in Royal Oak. It is a bit of a drive for me but is close to work. Maybe I can sneak away... Is there a Vallejo match for Boltgun Metal/Leadbelcher?

If you can't make a drive for the Vallejo, any good game shop should be able to order them, and their online pallet is fairly accurate for color provided your screen is color corrected properly.
