View Full Version : BoLS giving me issues on iPad

Whenever I open an article on BoLS with my iPad, my browser (Safari and other alternatives) craps itself and kicks me back to my main screen. Constantly.

Anyone else have this issue?

Maybe the orgy of ads and feeds and whiny comments showered all over the page are too much to handle.

I've been having that issue as well. Not every time, but often enough it's getting annoying. I have had better success (but still some snags) with using the Chrome app.

I blame all the adverts. Video popups are starting to annoy me.

This is quite strange, but I use my iPad on here all the time and I have never had any problems with pop ups.
Not sure what to suggest.

I've had no pop up issues. Just getting kicked out of my browser for reading the articles. :/

Clearing your history will normally help...

Mine is a brand new replacement 'Pad. (grrr....) So it's not the history. There's something about the main page that @#$$#@#%'s up Safari.

The alternative is use a proper tablet :P

Seriously advert problems are generally cookies or the cache or some such, and if it's a replacement could it be a refurb?

Shame on you Psycho, no matter how tongue in cheek your answer, you just had to say it. "Use a proper tablet"
Shame on you :p

This just started occurring for me as well. It does not appear to be an ad problem, but rather the system crashes when the replies load up.

I was not having trouble until about two weeks ago.

The ad thing was just a working hypothesis. The forums are no issue, just the main site for the iPad.

Which really isn't that much of a loss, really. Just means I've more time to get back to FFT on the 'Pad.

just checked it out using multiple browsers in a sandbox setting. All versions of Safari worked fine. It's gotta be an iPad thing.

although Apple will tell you either the other browsers are coded badly or you're using the ipad wrong.
