Ok, the game was the last of the year 2012 and it was a LONG game and with full of surprises. Necrons had IG allies (Desperate allies), so they werent able to score/deny. GK was again "in ya face-list" and Eldar more all around. Tried the Swooping hawks again,doubt thatīll play them again soon. 2 objectives / side and off we went. We scored the First blood, by destroying 2 tanks (in one unit). I must say, that desperate allies isnt the way to go. IG did nothing, but soaked up a lot of fire. They even managed to cause one Necron flier to destroy itself, by throwing a couple oneīs (to see, do they trust each other). My friend had the worst saving throws with the GK and i did ok. He made his Assassins and Terminators scoring units (GK trickery...). Next few rounds saw the demise of the entire IG and GK was cut down to two assassins and Justicar and three termies. Eldar lost both War Walker squads (that Lightning strike of Necrons is SO annoying), but they fared nicely, cutting down couple Wraiths and a whole troop unit (Doomed one). We held two objectives and he one. Necrons had a Bastion near his objective and he came out and teleported all the way to the far side, near our objectives. Luckily he moved 11" to the opposite direction and i had time to cut down few of his troops, before he blew the Jetbikes away. Next, Eldrad and the Assassin went to close combat with the Wraiths and held them there the rest of the game and SHīs went head-to-head with the Necrons holding our objective and got them off from it. 6th round was the last one and another Assassin denied one of his objectives, Termies held the other, he denied one of our objective and no one had the fourth. End result was
Eldar/GK : First Blood, STWL, 1 objective, Linebreaker = 6 points and Necrons/IG : Linebreaker = 1...this showed, that i dont see myself using desperate allies. I think he just wanted to get an access to his new plasma tanks, but he should have had CSM, that would have been a deucey. Altough the match was tighter than it might appear in these few lines of text, it all came down to the uselessness of IG and the fact that Eldar are awesome :D ...
