Hey all,

since i got some time on my hands since i finally got around to quit my daytime job, me and the Mrs. decided to start building a few display armies and for some reason -dunno why- we came to building a pure slaanesh army worth of 2000 points.

Since the army will be a playable army we sticked to the SFOC so that the army will be legal :)

to start off here's the army list:

-HQ-
The Masque
Herald of Slaanesh - Exalted Seeker Chariot of Slaanesh, Soporifix Musk, Transfixing Gaze
Keeper of Secrets - Daemonic Gaze, Soporific Musk, Transfixing Gaze

-ELITES-
6x Fiend of Slaanesh, Unholy Might (*)

-TROOPS-
10x Daemonettes - Chaos Icon, Transfixing Gaze
10x Daemonettes - Chaos Icon, Transfixing Gaze
10x Daemonettes - Chaos Icon, Transfixing Gaze
10x Daemonettes - Chaos Icon, Transfixing Gaze
10x Daemonettes - Chaos Icon, Transfixing Gaze

-FAST ATTACK-
5x Seeker - Chaos Icon, Transfixing Gaze
5x Seeker - Chaos Icon, Transfixing Gaze

-HEAVY SUPPORT-
Daemon Prince of Chaos -Breath of Chaos, Mark of Slaanesh, Aura of Acquiescence, Transfixing Gaze
3x Seeker Chariot of Slaanesh
Soul Grinder of Chaos -2x Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon, Harvester, Phlegm (*)

units marked with (*) will be conversions of spider/daemon hybrids for the soulgrinder we already decided to sacrefice a barbie doll -pun intended- the spiderbodies of the seekers will be made from spiders from the O&G range which i still have laying around.

There even might come a keeper of secrets from the FW range (FINALLY!!) because we both love the model.

will keep you updated!!!

barbie may be a decent frame for a KoS though, poseable and has chesticles *granted only a third of a KoS' rack.

but if you can find a suitable smaller girl model for the fiends that would look ace.

it sounds a cool army, i miss the old school perverted O-)-( days with phallic headgear (nearly put helmets..... oops) and nipules all over the place.
you know i will do it one of these days........ just hide it from the daughter as she gets to toddler-teenage years LOL

looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

was talking about the "estetics" f the models and we already agreed there need to be decent boobies on the models so thats some greenstuffing on all of the models :D i might even make a mold for boobs (the boobmold hahahahaha)

On the soulgrinder/barbie conversion. Just had it matched and it should work, also sculpting a full rack in her should be no problem, the only problem will be sculpting the horns/hair but we will find a sollution to that also :D

small update for today.....

i had a horrible accident with my testmodel, it was an old pewter model and for some reason she snapped at her leg so i had to toss the mini into my bitzbox where it will lay for an eternety unit i find better use of it....

The other problem i have is the next one:
skintone: should i go for the studio grey (Dont follow WD 391 it makes them pruple!!!!) so i was planning on going doing one of these options

- natural skintone using the fair skin triad from reaper
or
- greys like the studio

what would you think looks best>???

Light Grey skintone with lots of black leather with hot pink trim

Wish they still made the "Nipple Pink" color... shame they removed it...

was indeed leaning towards grey tones with a hue of purple in it. the "Armour" (if you can call it that much ) will be if i can pull it off some kind of see-trough armour to make them a little more exotic.

so i have been really struggling with the studio grey skin and had a chat with my wife about the skin color.
we finally decided on going for the pale skin but since the triad from reaper only limits you to a base shade highlight i decided to start with tanned skin -> tanned highlight -> fair shadow -> fair skin -> fair highlight this gives a nice deep shadow and i hope that, the purple hue in in tanned skin comes out nicely.

i have done some test work on a leg of one of my daemonettes and really want your opinion on it

back the work is done on the leg part

Personally prefer the purple skin tone looks more slaaneshy, also loving the pink hair!

so do i and it saves around 3 layers to paint which make it a lot easier to do and since im planning on painting a lot more im thinking about going this way. The pink hair was more of a tryout not sure still if im going for black or pink

update:
Finally got around to do some more painting on the test model. The skin is almost done which was the most part of the model, so a big focus point. im pretty happy about how it came out. the hair has its layer and first highlight added so thats almost done. The gold parts are also in their second layer so only a bit of highlighting needs to be done. im a bit stuck at the following parts of the model:
-clothes : which color to use
-claws : which color to use
-eyes : which color to use (looking for some osl maybe here)

some pics of the model so far:
