Afternoon!
Just burning off the last fifteen minutes of my lunch break (I know, New Year's Eve and working. Bah!') so thought I'd make a quick post.
With the advent of 6th Edition, combined with Zone Mortalis stuff, is it just me or do we now have even more scope for multi table gaming, to make things suitably three dimensional?
You could have a vault/sewer board, where saboteurs, kill teams and assorted ne'er do wells can lurk about, the main battlefield, and thanks to the flier rules being fairly solid, a third board to represent the skies above.
I've tried to run such games before, typically mixing Battlefleet Gothic, 40k and Necromunda games, but I never quite pulled it off, mostly because few gamers round my way stuck to the same race for each system!
But now? Much different! Soon everyone will have their flier or equivalent, and Zone Mortalis can be quickly replicated with some home made cardboard tiles, for those without the money for the FW, or with the sense to not bother.
