Chaos Lord Deep Strike?

I was giving thought to attaching a Chaos Lord with 2 LC and a jump pack to my Warp Talon squad. The Chaos Lord, however, doesn't have the Deep Strike rule. Now, the core rulebook says that jump units can deep strike, and as a member of that unit in reserves would he be capable of Deep Strike with them? Thanks in advance for the help.

He's got a jump pack, he becomes jump infantry, jump infantry can deepstrike, so yes, you can deepstrike a Lord with a jump pack.
