Chaos Lord Deep Strike?

I was giving thought to attaching a Chaos Lord with 2 LC and a jump pack to my Warp Talon squad. The Chaos Lord, however, doesn't have the Deep Strike rule. Now, the core rulebook says that jump units can deep strike, and as a member of that unit in reserves would he be capable of Deep Strike with them? Thanks in advance for the help.

I am pretty sure he can, but I need someone backing me up. I don't have the rule book on me, and it has been awhile since I looked through it.

Any model classed as Jump Infantry (i.e. a model with a Jump Pack) has the Deep Strike special rule.
So to answer your question, yes, a Chaos Lord with a Jump Pack can deep strike.
