I tracked down a copy of the Damocles Gulf edition on Thursday. Am I right in thinking it's out of print?

I don't think it is, my local store still has quite a few copies left. That may be because it didn't sell well here though.

It hasn't been out for that long really (maybe a year or so?) so I dont see why it should be. Its a fun read and I tend to bring it out to the table top with me.;)

A Friend of mine does the same thing and quotes it al the time... In certain desperate situations he uses it as a "rulebook." for example tried to make me downgrade all my eldar weaponry becuSe it is "inferior" according to the primer he also tried to make all my eldar toughness 2 becuase the primer said eldar a frail. Lol

The frailty of eldar is one of the things the primer got right.

Both the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer and the Imperial Munitorum Manual are still for sale on the Games Workshop website, under the 40K novels. I have both, and think they're a hoot! Especially the parts about psykers and Tau, where they've taped over the "old" info in favor of the "new, improved" data. They don't help on that battlefield but are worth it for the humor. One of the few instances of GW having humor in their background.

:) I have the original Primer & the newer MM & love to read the various "rights" & inspirational Prayers at difficult times in friendly games. It cracks up the opponents as does my loud "the Emperor Protects" when I get successful Faith Rolls for my Sisters.

That what you call really getting into the Fluff of the Game!:p

Ive toyed with the idea of photo copying the Lost kit/damaged kit forms from the MM and handing them to my opponent when he loses a unit! lol

Well, it is buried at the very bottom of the 40k novels section.

Ive seen it on Ebay a few times and every time the seller has tried to pass it off as a super rare item.

I ordered the DGE off amazon.co.uk new. Funny book-especiall the section on xenos.

I got a copy off the Black Library website a few months ago IIRC. Might have been off Yahoo though... but I'm fairly certain it was off their website along with the first three books of the Cain series.
