Someone at my local club has proposed this:
Army Composition-
500 points
1 troops choice minimum
No named characters
No figure with more than 2 wounds
The rest is up to each player but you stick with what you choose for the length
of the league
Each player plays all other players twice. One player sets up the battlefield on
a 4'x4' for the first game and the opponent sets it up for the second game with
one objective in each set up (both should be played in one club night).
The person who sets up the battlefield decides on any special rules such as
night fighting or infiltrate etc (these must be declared before either
battlefield is set up. ie if the person who will be setting up the 2nd
battlefield wants to use nightfighting for the first turn he must declare this
before the first battlefield is set up).
3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. Points will be scored for table quarters
held, objective held and casualties inflicted in points. No game may last more
than 6 turns.
I would like to make one rule change.
To make 'true line of sight' work on these skirmish games I propose that only
figures that can actually see and be seen by enemy figures may fire and take
casualties (ie a unit of 10 Marines spot a unit of 10 Orks but 4 of the Orks are
behind a large boulder out of sight, only the 6 Orks which can be seen can be
shot at and take wounds and likewise fire back).
Im up for it. What do you think?
