On page 83 of the big rule book, I see that it says that if skimmers are forced to move over any enemy models, then you move them until they aren't in contact anymore. Since Monoliths deep strike, and are skimmers, and would by definition be a skimmer forced to end its move upon enemy models if they derp struck onto models [either my own or others].
Anyone else feel like the rules also support this? It seems like Monoliths are more like drop pods now, but I'm cool with that since I can deep-strike them again.

Deepstrike isn't a normal move, so that doesn't apply. I think. If only GW wasn't so vague about all this stuff, there'd be no confusion. Privateer Press deals with this specific problem in their rules, there are rules for Moving and rules for being Placed, and Deepstrike would fall under the latter so there would be no confusion.

Without a FAQ, I would play it that while deepstriking, the model falls under the rules of deepstriking, and if it can't be legally placed it would incur a deepstrike mishap. When I look at vague areas in the rules, I usually approach it from a perspective of what looks the least like you are trying to take advantage of a loophole. Under the interpretation you suggested, I can see someone purposefully placing their marker for a deepstriking skimmer right in the middle of a whole mess of enemy units, somewhere that a deepstriking infantry unit wouldn't be able to fully fit, and still going ahead with the deepstrike because they would just move their unit to the closest space from the marker where the skimmer would 'fit'.

I don't have the rules in front of me, so I can't make any argument for RAW interpretations, but think of it from a RAI perspective. Should deep striking skimmers be immune to mishaps? Probably not.
