Hey thanks for looking. I've always loved the thought of doing an all Khorne army and started working on this last year or so. When 6th edition dropped I had to make a few adjustments when I found out about the wonders of allies. Due to what I thought was a lackluster Chaos codex I based this on the Blood Angels codex and stuck with it even after the 6th edition version came out. I did my best to stick to the Khorne way of thinking "Main, kill, burn" so the entire army is close combat orientated and has no psychers. To be honest I haven't even gotten a chance to play 6th yet, I just like the fluff and getting creative. So if this list turns out to be pure cheese sorry. Below is the list and what I did to make the army so far.
All the bases are from Secret Weapon and the jump packs are the Iron Pattern ones from MaxMini.
HQ: Kharn (Tyco) I made a custom model for this one. Turned out pretty good.
HQ: Chaplin in Terminator Armor - This is Zhufor from Forgeworld. I found him in a crappy painted bin and stripped off the paint and recovered the model. I did this for most of my army actually... ones man trash is another's treasure.
Troops: Two squads of assualt marines with jump packs (working on getting the rest).
Troops: 1 squad of death company guys. I got the shoulder pads from... um... I'm not sure actually. Sorry. I stuck with the uber scary skull faces for these guys.
Troop: Death Company Dreadnought. Okay this is the heavy warjack Drago from Warmachine. But it's waaaay cooler and looks totally Khorne. Dual axes, skull necklace. I would crap if I saw him coming at me. I'm planning on mounting a kick butt banner on him.
Elite: TH/SS Termies. I used the shields from the new Skull Crushers from Warhammer. The bodies and shoulder pads are Forgeworld. The bases I got on ebay from some guy. I'm waiting on my Forgeworld chain axes to come in.
Heavy/Transport: Land Raider Redeemer. I went with this one cause of the whole BURN thing. I never could imagine bezerkers resorting to lascannons when they could use fire. The top of it will be a sacrificial altar. I found an older model to to the cutting and a newer one to do the holding. The deck is all sticks from Hobby Lobby. The tacks were a nightmare to nail in but it looks pretty good.
Once I get some more funds in I'll be working on phase two of the army which will be a Space Wolves detachment. I'll be using Skull Crushers and a Khorne Lord on a Juggernaut for thunderwolf calvary and a squad of Chaos Knights as grey hunters. I wanted to give them spooky look as if they were summoned from the old days by the horrors commited on the Land Raider.
Well thanks for reading and enjoy. Oh I also included a pic of my lord and master... Gwen Cat.
