I have a Chaos army that I've been using for about ten years now and have decided its time to start over. So I've begun to graduallly sell off my old as I get around to creating my new one. So far my new list has gone through a few changes but right now I know pretty much what all I need to get started. I've collected a few things and am just about ready to start building and painting. I should have a test model paintd up before this weekend. Heres my list in its current format:

I have two Daemon Princes that I intend to srtip and do some conversion work on. Since the Epidemius model is so rediculously expensive, I've decided to use this model instead:

I still need to pick up some nurglings, Rhinos and a couple of Obliterators. I also bought a bunch of really cool tech bases from Dreamforge and some toxic heads from MaxMini. I plan on using these heads for a few troopers and for my Rhino turret gunners.

Thanks guys! Posting this yesterday got me excited about painting again, so I sat down and painted up the test model to see how I like the color scheme. It needs a few touch ups here and there but overall, I'm quite happy with how it turned out. Especially the rusted trim and boltgun.

Very nice. Bit of a shame about the base ebing bare, but understandable on a test model. It'd be great to see them on a rotting, sticky looking swamp or something. I'd also be tempted to do something with the cowling on the Bolter, as it looks a little plain at the moment. Nothing too extravagent, but maybe a spot colour to contrast the creamy green?

Either way, I am very much looking forward to seeing a whole squad of these. You've done a great job doing a very John Blanche-like effect

Your absolutely right. I'm thinking of painting them red to contrast the green. I also need to figure out some way to differentiate between squads. Like having each one with a different colored helmet or backpack or something. Still not sure which direction to go with that. But for now here are some pics of the first fully built up squad. I have another one about half built and have started working on my Epidemius, but nothing significant enough to post here yet.

How about painting a small square on the rim of the base, or a different trim to show the squad?

Sorry I haven't updated this thread in so long. The Dark Angels codex came out and I decided to work on my Deathwing for a bit. But last week I picked up a Chaos Terminator Lord box and went to town on a Plague Lord for my Lords. I gave him the Burning Brand and a Power-maul since he'll either be attached to Terminators or Oblits and shouldn't really need AP2 as there shold all ready be planty in his unit. So here he is:
