Aquila Lander and Lightning Fighter MIA

I had noticed that the Aquila Lander and the Lightning Fighter were "out of stock" for several months now at the Forgeworld website.

Now they have disappeared entirely from the site.

Anyone know the fate of these models?

well a lightning mark 2 was being shown at games day, so I expect that is the fate of the lightning, possibly a new aquilla too

Or maybe plastic.....those are two kits that could very easily be plastic.

more plastic fliers would be great, but I would be surprised to see the lightning in plastic with forgeworld doing a new one

The aquila lander is so bad rule wise it wouldn't amaze me if it went plastic........

they don't look anything alike and have very diff rules. I think there's a place for both.

When the new Lightning was being shown at Games Day, the old Lightning was "Out of Stock that day. I kind of liked the old model, it was cute, but the new one is a vast improvement and much more in keeping with current design. I won't miss it.

I love the styling of the old Lightning, with the smooth nose, elegant wings, and clean curves that remind me of the F-15/F-16. Admittedly, it does not match the aesthetic of the rest of the Imperial aircraft range, and the detailing is somewhat crude, especially on the underside. It is a rather old model.

They need to bring out the Lightning II already.

Well the Lightning II is out but still no sign of the Aquilla, maybe this is something GW will do in plastic when the Inquisition eDex gets redone as a Hard Copy with shiny new stuff.
