I have no idea how this is supposed to work.

Do attack bikes get bases? If so, what size? The kit doesn't come with a base... but then again, the last space marine biker I bought came with a freaking Fantasy cavalry base, so that doesn't mean anything.

Help? I think an attack bike without a base would look pretty stupid in a squad with ordinary bikes that do have bases, but I want my model to be legal.

They don't need bases, but they're conventionally based on 60mm rounds, as I recall.

Only 60mm? I've got one of those, and the bike only kinda fits on it...

Two of the three I have both came with 60mm rounds. One was an older one, and it had the flat round disc, and the other had the newer HWT style 60mm. THe third came with a cav base, but it is the oldest of the bunch.

If you really want to base it, put a cavalry base under the bike, and cut a separate one in half for the side car, or use a square fantasy base if you have one. Though like Nabterayl said, the do not need a base.

Put a bike base under the bike part, and a 25mm base under the third wheel. Then fill in the sides so you have a rounded triangle.

And then leave your 3rd ed Terminators on their 25 mm bases, and IG HWTs on their Fantasy Cav bases, and all will be totally fair

:-)

The 60 mm is the conventional base that is recognized as the one to model one on currently, IF you're going to base it, as many people still don't.

Huh. The last 2 Attack Bikes I've opened up didn't come with any sort of base.

because you don't have to base them :/ if you want to though, use the 60 mm base (IG Heavy Weapon Teams)

Who said anything about fairness? They don't come with bases, and they're not the only non-vehicle models to do so. THAT is what GW has decided is totally fair. Putting a base on it is only to satisfy your OCD tendencies.

Ever assembled Grey Knights? They only kinda fit on small bases. Just take a look at the new plastics sometime, you'll see basically all of them will have a foot or two hanging off the edge of the base.

I am not re-basing my first company for any one :D

The rules are if they come with a base they must be based to play.

Attack bikes don't so they don't need a base. Traditionally or conventionally they are on GW "60mm" bases, note they are not quite 60mm :s
