I'm looking to convert up a female terminator model, but I'm having trouble finding any sort of heavily armored female to base the conversion from. Any ideas? It doesn't need to be a GW model.
I've been looking for a model that looks something like Samus Aran's Varia Suit from Metroid but I haven't had any luck so far. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
(FWIW, this model is not a loyalist space marine. No griping about female loyalists please :))

I cant suggest a model, but using either one of the 'nicer' daemoettes' heads or one of the high elf heads (ive seen this look great)

if ur going for slaaneshi (first thing that came to head when mentioning female termies) then deamonette heads or dark/high elf heads on a termie body is probably the best place to start but itll probably work with non-slaanesh stuff too

A female head is all you really need - terminator is armor is pretty sexless.
Whoops, forgot to address the rest. The most recognizable parts of Samus' armor are the shoulder and helmet, IMO.For the helmet, I'd recommend filing down the eyes and nose area of a space marine to a smooth plane, like the visor. This would look better on some models than other. As for the shoulders, I'm not sure. Beads, perhaps?

Go check the Infinity range ( www.infinitythegame.com ) for armoured females... probably not as armoured as a terminator but something to start with...

if you're just after femal heads for a conversion, check out
http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/range.php?range_id=60
or failing that, theres plenty of stuff on hasslefree that might be usefull

I concur with the recomendations for a Hasslefree or Infinity solution. The PanPacific and Yu Jing factions provide some good bases to work a Varia suit lookalike from.

Check out some of the models from Privateer Press, in particular:

Not really Terminator armour material, but most of these would do quite well as power armoured warriors with little or no change. I know I have given some serious consideration to using them as conversions for my Inquisition force.

She doesn't seem to be on the main Hasslefree site, but I recommend Power Armor Libby (http://www.colonialgames.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5_83_84&products_id=722) for a female armored model.

I'm looking to convert up a female terminator model
Instead of doing this; Don't do this.

I second power armoured libby, a pretty decent model that.
However, I have to agree, females in power armour (never looks good), females in terminator armour (oh dear, oh dear, oh dear)....

There's got to be hundreds of female inquisitors in the galaxy with terminator armour, and you can only see the head anyway on a terminator model, if that. Why does a man's head inherently look better than a woman's between the shoulders of terminator armour?
It doesn't?
Good.
I think you should go for it, it's ridiculous to say that a man in terminator armour looks cool and a woman doesn't.
