OK. I give up.

Having been screwed by my bank taking away my overdraft, I get back on top of things just this month.

And following my bank telling me my card had fraud attempts made on it, I check my balance to find £400 missing, because some **** knocker has taken a loan out, using my account details to repay it!

This sucks more than anything has ever sucked before :(

Have you fought that out with them? I know it sucks, but don't give up. Your bank gave money to somebody - presumably the loan servicer - because they had reason to believe that you had authorized them to do so. It might be frustrating, but you should be able to prove that you didn't actually authorize them to do so. If you insist that you didn't, they ought to demand that the loan servicer show them whatever you allegedly signed. When they can't, your bank should get their money back from the loan servicer, leaving the loan servicer to go after the fraudster.

Don't roll over, man. £400 is worth making your bank track this down.

Thankfully I work for a regulatory body, so getting it back is less if. Just when.

Not in time to my rent or phone bill >:(

If I find whoever has done this, I'm going to break their legs.

I'd probably try the flat you recently moved out of.

Didn't move out in the end. Found some wiggle room. I'd literally sorted the last mess this month.

Bank have been in touch, and confirmed there isn't a DD setup. Seems to be a one off payday loan type thing.

Grrrrrr!

Ah, that sucks.

Should be a one off debit.

Doesn't help this month though.
