Sadly I haven't had as much time to devote to the Beta. Small things like work, pregnant wife, etc but they keep me busy. I'll see if I can write up something more significant later today/tonight to give some first impressions.

That being said, the game is scheduled for launch next week I do believe.

Overall it has a lot of the same things other games of this genre have. Earn commendations to upgrade your character along specific tracks. Skill of the player is still a huge factor. Flying has a much greater learning curve than the first game (the first time I jumped into the cockpit I crashed within 10 seconds). Stuff like that.
