Very cool!

BTW, quick heads up. You have the misfortune to share a user name with a now dodgy online retailer. Might be worth your while to pop a disclaimer in your sig :)

I also think this is very clever and cost-effective. I tip my hat to you sir. I will be doing likewise.

Looking good. Every year I stand in the X-mas aisle staring at trees like these, but I've never taken the plunge, as I have a good number of jungle trees, but in this new world of Flyers everywhere, I keep thinking that extra height from these trees might be good. Have you checked to see how easy it looks to remove these from their bases? I think if I did the same, I'd want to remount them.

They are on very heavy twisted wire and come with wide-sturdy bases and are easy to bend and hold their shape. The bases could be cut-off as needed.

I've added a large-heavy 3/4" diameter washer to every tree base and match the 3/4" diameter washer to a hole cut in my wooded terrain pieces.

Shown are the largest and smallest trees found at Wally-world. The third one was bent a bit when sticking it to the paint-stick with carpet tape - Easily straightened.

I can lift them out of the way to place models. Because I use the same size washer for every tree, I can mix and match the trees on every wooded piece of terrain for variety every time I set up. If you wanted to make them even more sturdy you can add a magnet to the terrain piece to hold the washer in place!

The Large trees are between 9"-10" tall
The Mid-sized trees are 6"-7" tall
The Small trees are 3"-4" tall

Wally-world prices!! <lol>

The Large trees are between 9"-10" tall = $ 2.00
The Mid-sized trees are 6"-7" tall = $ 1.00
The Small trees are 3"-4" tall = $ 0.75

Can of Krylon paint for 50 trees = $ 4.99

I used double-sided carpet tape to hold them onto the scrap wood for quick painting from all angles. About a minute per batch to paint...
