Flyers vs Armor Facings

Can't remember, when a Flyer shoots at a tank, does it only hit side armor OR the armor facing the flyer?

I can't find anything in the Shooting At Vehicles rules or the Flyers rulers that says a flyer does anything other than hit the relevant armour facing.

You're thinking of Barrage weapons, but even Bombs don't automatically count as Barrage.

Also note that for a vehicle to claim cover 25% of the facing you're shooting at needs to be obscured. Not 25% of the vehicle.
This can be tricky as Flyers on tall bases may be able to see the vast majority of the vehicle, but perhaps that side facing is obscured or even hidden behind a building!

You might be thinking of the Apocalypse rules for flyers, which were that a flyer always counted as hitting a non-flyer on its side armour regardless of facing.

You might be confusing this with the rules for Vector Strike which always hit the side armor. But this is restricted to Flying Monstrous Creatures and Heldrakes only I believe.
