This month sees the release of a shoulder mounted missile rack that is designed to fit seamlessly on the shoulders of Games Workshops Space Marine Terminator models. No longer will players have to scavenge or overpay on ebay and bits websites for the destructive potential that is needed in a pinch. The metal components were sculpted by Tomas Fiertek and painted by Jose Veiga. Each kit is $4.50 available here (http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=85_113&product_id=251) is cast in pewter and comes with a seperate targeting array.

Also available for players whose favorite armies happen to be grey knights are some flexible ammo belts for storm bolter use as well as some segmented heraldric power armor pads.

The flexible ammo belts come in two sizes, large and small. The large size belts are designed to fit on the heavy weapon choices for grey knight players and the small belts are designed to fit on smaller weapons such as storm bolters. Each set is $2.50 each. The large set, available here (http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=85_113&product_id=255) are in quantities of 3. The smaller size set which comes in quantities of 4 is available here (http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=85_113&product_id=254).

I first read that as "shamelessly."

The missile racks are neat. It's true - the cyclonic launcher cannot be had for love or money on eBay. I'll certainly buy a couple of these from you soon.

I'm wondering if I have a Cyclone Launcher gold mine in my bitz box, and never realized it...

Wow! It's stuff nobody really needs, and still not a shred of creativity! Astounding!

Also, pads? The lines are wonky...

It's true, you can't get Cyclone missile launchers for love nor money. Except in the, you know, the tactical terminator box.

The ammo belts are pretty awesome, was sad when they abandoned the awesome metals for the clunky plastic box-mags.

Like the Cyclone's arches, a little missile cathedral. If I were doing loyalist Termies I'd be tempted to use that over the stock.

Agreed. Whilst I don't agree with CHS ripping off GW stuff, perhaps we could stop using their posts to slag them off all the time? I really don't see what it accomplishes. They make quite clear what their posts are in the title, if you don't like their stuff just stay away from the thread. This negativity doesn't do anything other than make BoLS more like Whineseer and I'm sure that is not something that anybody wants to happen.

I don't know if its all whining, some of the comments could be seen as constructive criticism. I for one like the idea of an alternative cyclone launcher, but these are just not my taste.

I don't think they fit the aesthetic of terminator armour.

I've not seen anything in this thread which could be classed as that. If people want to post a 'I think that would be better if...' posts I'm down with that, I just don't see what the 'that looks pants/more rip off stuff' posts achieve. I'm not trying to shut down discussion, I just feel there are enough 'Chapterhouse are great/Chapterhouse are rip-off' merchants threads out there and I think these sort of comments should be kept to there rather than people just coming on here and telling them they suck. Like I said, that's the sort of stuff I feel belongs on forums other than BoLS.

Fair enough
I am not keen on most of CHS stuff, I really don't feel the sculpt quality is there and when adding their parts to GW models, they for me detract rather than add to the mini. The cyclone is just an example and I find the sculpt just a little "wonky" in comparison to alternatives. Iron dog studios did / do an alternative which I prefer.
However I do like the CHS version of the conversion beamer. But these just dont do it for me.

See, that is constructive criticism and the expression of a subjective personal view without being a negative and pointless attack. That's what I'm talking about!:)

Making out like it's hard to get a cyclone missile launcher when you get one in the box for the unit which can have them is pretty silly, was my point.

Wildeybeast

There are situations where you end up with the models but not the bits.

Say you get the models in trade, or buy them online? Say you bought Dark Vengeance or Black Reach? What if your model with the cyclonics is lost, stolen, or broken. Sorry - you're screwed. Go buy a $40 box or spend $20 on the Internet for just the one bit...

It's a shame GW stopped selling individual bitz like they used to, it's without doubt left a gap in the market.

Buying the box gives you additional models, to add variety.

I know. I do that when I can. But for those of us on a budget, that's sometimes a high cost.

Here's an idea maybe they could stop posting in 40k News and Rumours where they don't belong.

CHS gets nothing but contempt from me and I wont be brow beaten into feeling that the expression of that contempt is wrong simple because it happens whenever they try to peddle their product.

I love hoe the cyclonic launcher is labelled cyclone in the picture

or even better how the original pic has been edited since pointing this out lol

But seriously it's too bulky, and the corner tabs make it look more suited for chaos terminators.

Not to mention a massive piece of metal will make your terminators SERIOUSLY top heavy.

I'd agree with that. i use the anvil industry ones which i think fit better.

Just invest in some Cataphractii. Job jobbed :)

I think these [cyclone missile lauchers] would look just the part if the SoB had terminators.

They do look more like something the SoB would bolt onto a Rhino chassis really now you mention it...

Speaking of the arches, can you imagine what they would look like on an Imperial Fist terminator? McDorn-alds, Billions upon Billions killed.

Ok to be fair, other than the side bulge, I like the Cyclone launcher, and would use them on Cataphractii pattern terminators.

I also like the ammo belts, but I already get mine in bulk from Zinge. The pads are a lil wonky, but I suspect that's due to photography angles and the fact you can't get an actual orthographic shot with a camera.

These particular releases don't "wow" me but then again I don't have much use for them since I don't have the same options with my army. I still like the fact that they are out there. The more options for us as the consumer, the better it is overall.
