It's £150 in Britain.

If bought separately:

1 Commander = £14
Command Squad of 5 Space Marines = £20.5
1 Razorback = £25
1 Drop Pod = £22.5
20 Tactical Marines = £46
5 Scouts with Sniper Rifles = £15.5
1 Ironclad Dreadnought = £28
1 Land Raider Crusader = £45

Grand total: £216.5

£66.5, or 44.33% savings. Not bad.

For the Necrons:

1 Necron Catacomb Command Barge = £22.5
24 Necron Warriors = £44
5 Necron Immortals = £20.5
1 Necron Doomsday Ark = £31
1 Necron Triarch Stalker = £30
6 Necron Tomb Blades = £48
1 Necron Canoptek Spyder = £20
6 Necron Scarab Swarms = £0

Grant total: £216

Thanks for doing the math, Plawolf :)

Kind of justifies it now.

And if you look at the Necron Force box it's showing a Ghost Ark but it lists a Doomsday Ark so I'd think the Barge and the Ark can be converted to either Doomsday or Ghost or Command or Annihilation.

Uh... yes. That's how the kits work.

Well if you got this stuff 20 years ago it was even cheaper.

So I will pass.

Oh and no Finecast Resin back then, just pure metal & plastic.

ooohhh the necron one is tempting..... just need to scavenge the cash hahaha

but at a £60 saving its not bad, £60 that could go into getting immortals heavy blasters to replace the green rods on the warriors :)

Dude. I mourn for the prices of yesteryear too, but... laying aside the fact that I was only four years old twenty years ago and hadn't even begun to ask for pocket money, the oldest of the Necron plastic kits is only eleven years old, and the oldest of their OOP metals is only fourteen. Half of the Space Marine kits are either new concepts or have had massive overhauls, too.

I don't get your point about Finecast either. The megaforces are pure plastic, even the commanders.

They usually do include the entire contents of each kit in the various forces. They usually name them as one of the variations though in the contents listing , I suppose so that new players get a "recommended" build.

I was happy to see they're going razorback with the SMs instead of rhino. If you're only going to buy one, you should get a razorback as that's "downgradable".

Everything was cheaper 20 years ago - what, have you decided to just stop buying 'stuff'?

Petty much since I already have nearly 160+ Space Marines, over 200+ Imperial Guard, nearly 250+ Orks, and about 170+ Eldar.

So why would I be interested in getting anymore figures from GW.

They are way overpriced and most are Finecast Resin now days.

Troll troll is troll.

And by stuff, he means food and clothing as well. Inflation has effected a lot of things.

I mourn for the petrol prices of the early '90s.

How does it compare if you were to buy the same items from one of the online stores offereing 25% discount and free shipping?

That maths is literally in the first post, or did you not read it? It's about a 40% saving, so if you take out the online 25%, you still save 15%, and GW has free shipping.
