I've been re-reading "Execution Hour" and "ShadowPoint" and was wondering if the 'Shotcannon' ever had any rule's.

With the 'Master of Ordinance' figure and the Navy knowing that the Guard couldn't defend itself let alone a Navy Officer I was going to use two Mordian Grenadier's as Petty Officer bodyguard, counting the Grenade Launchers as 'Shotcannon's'.

So were there every any rules for them? Or may hap Scaly scattercannon rules, if such exist.

Please know that I am the furthest thing imaginable from a grammar zealot... but I just can't resist pointing out the concept of a bellybutton cannon is fantastic.

re: "navel" :)

pp.161 of the Dark Heresy Inquisitor's Handbook has details of the Naval Shotcannon which you might be able to use as a basis for a house rule (by comparing the stats of more common weapons in that publication to their tabletop counterparts).

I was picturing some kind of great Ork beast with a gun sticking out of its torso "Navel Shotkannon". Sorry :p.

I've never heard of rules for a gun like that, but it might have appeared in an older version of the IG codex.

That sounds a lot like a second or third edition gun. I would try and find the old codexes before creating your own rules.

Best bet is probably to count it as a ripper gun. I don't know what the points cost would be, but I think that would probably be closest to how the shotcannon is described in the books. Hope this helps.

There is rules for scaly weapons in necromunda, inculding the scatter cannon I believe. You should oonce over to the specialist games page, the rules are free to download.
